English Version

In the auspicious month of January in the year 1796, during the sacred hours of dawn (Amrit Vela), Sain Maher Das Sahib Ji was born in a small village called Dahi in the Jacobabad district. He was born into a humble family, though his spiritual destiny was far from ordinary.

In his early life, he was known by his birth name Bhai Sawai Ram. Some devotees fondly referred to him as Pakhtu Ram, though these names would eventually be transcended by his spiritual significance. His father, Bhai Sasnaram, was a merchant during the Karolan era, a man of trade and practical wisdom who provided for his family with honest labor.

Sain Maher Das Sahib Ji was married to the pious and devoted Gurbi Bai. Through their union, they were blessed with a son named Sant Das. However, destiny had other plans for the spiritual seeker. Within a short span of time, his father, his beloved wife, and his dear son all departed from this mortal world due to illness.

This profound loss awakened in Sain Maher Das Sahib a deep spiritual consciousness. He experienced intense inner turmoil and existential questioning, yet from this pain emerged clarity. He realized that true salvation and liberation could only be found through the grace of a complete spiritual master and the divine name of God. With this conviction, he resolved to seek out a genuine Satguru who could guide him on the path of eternal truth.

His spiritual quest led him to the feet of the great Saint and Udasin Master, the illustrious Baba Pirb Das Sahib Ji, a revered spiritual luminary and head of the Udasin order. Upon receiving the darshan (divine vision) of this enlightened master, Sain Maher Das Sahib's heart was filled with transcendent joy and spiritual peace.

Baba Pirb Das Sahib Ji was deeply pleased by his sincere devotion and selfless service. Recognizing the purity of his heart and his unwavering commitment to spiritual truth, the great master blessed him with his divine grace and compassionate gaze. With his sacred voice, Baba Pirb Das Sahib Ji proclaimed these immortal words:

"From this day forth, O Bhai Sawai Ram, you shall be filled with peace and contentment throughout the world. There is no difference between you and God. You have become one with the Divine."

Following this blessed initiation, Sain Maher Das Sahib Ji was formally established in the Udasin spiritual lineage and given his divine name, Sain Maher Das Sahib. With the blessings of his beloved Satguru and filled with spiritual enlightenment, he established his spiritual abode in Shaidi Mari, Balochistan, where he devoted his life to meditation, service, and the spiritual upliftment of all seekers.

Thus began the sacred mission of Sain Maher Das Sahib Ji, whose spiritual legacy continues to illuminate the hearts of countless devotees. He stands as the first of the Five Sacred Gurus in the divine lineage of Jai Samadhi, forever guiding seekers toward the eternal truth and divine grace.
