At that time, every child, youth, and elder of Ghauspur felt as if their dark nights were ending. This was because Sain Gareeb Das Sahib had instructed the key devotees to seat Gurdani (Sain Gurdas Ram) on the Gadi.
As the day of his coronation approached, excitement grew among the devotees. Despite harsh winter and lack of transportation, people were eager to witness their beloved. Gurdani Lal was seated on the Ghauspur Darbar Gadi at the age of only 16.
According to tradition, Mahraj Mohan Lal applied tilak and elevated him to the status of Swami Gurdass Ram Sahib. The moment he was seated on the Gadi, it felt as if joy had spread through the entire region.
Final Journey: The world is transient, and everyone must depart. On the occasion of Sain Gareeb Das Sahib’s gathering, Sain Gurdas Ram indicated that it was time to proceed to Sat-Khand (the divine abode).
Last Day: Despite the intense heat, he continued the construction and service at the Darbar Sahib. Date of Passing: 22 April 1975, en route to Amravati. Along the way, he met many devotees and shared messages of love. His final moments: He experienced difficulty in breathing. According to Sanatan tradition, he requested Tulsi leaves and honey, a blessing granted to only the fortunate.
Samadhi: On 3 May 1975, he was interred in the same chamber he had indicated beforehand.
Childhood and Education: Born on 15 June 1931 to Baba Khajuram, his childhood name was Gurdino. For religious education, he was sent to Shikarpur, where Sain Arjan Das taught him.
Service: From childhood, he was humble and devoted. Despite studying late at night, he would wake early for prayers and meditation. Responsibility: During the Partition, when others were leaving, his teacher informed him that Gurdani is the “trust of Ghauspur Darbar,” so he remained there.
Sain Gurdas Ram Sahib Ji was initially named Bhai Gurdino. His mother was Takhtan Bai and his father was Baba Gaju Ram.
He was born on 15th June 1931 in Garhi Tegho, District Shikarpur, and had an elder brother named Dada Fateh Chand. His spiritual education was guided by Mahraj Mohan Lal.
At the age of 16, in 1947, he was seated on the spiritual seat (Gadi) at Ghauspur Darbar. By the age of 28, he fully assumed the responsibilities of the seat.
